The Dallas Stars are opening the 2019-20 season at home.

The Arizona Coyotes will visit the Stars on Oct. 4 at the American Airlines Center, as the NHL released its schedules on Thursday.

The Stars will be home for four games before traveling to Ottawa for an Oct. 15 contest.

Other nuggets from the schedule --

The Stars have two games against the reigning Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals. They'll travel to the nation's capital for a contest on Nov. 3, and host them on Jan. 4.

The most frequent opponent for the Stars will be the Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators. They have five contests set against each.

For fans wanting to watch the Stars in Las Vegas, they'll make a couple trips. They'll be in Sin City for games on Dec. 9, a Sunday, and Feb. 26, a Tuesday.

The Stars have 12 sets of back-to-back games. The 24 games break down as such --
