About the Stars: Dallas’ forwards are banged up as the team enters the first of a back-to-back set with Winnipeg that concludes Thursday in Manitoba. Ales Hemsky is back on injured reserve after reinjuring his groin in Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Columbus. Jason Spezza left Monday’s practice early with an undisclosed injury and is questionable, the Stars’ website reported. Patrick Eaves (lower body) didn’t skate Monday but could play, coach Lindy Ruff said. Patrick Sharp (concussion-like symptoms) and Jiri Hudler (illness) are still out. ... The Stars recalled center Justin Dowling from the AHL’s Texas Stars for reinforcement. Dowling has eight points (two goals, six assists) in five games with Texas.
