Jerry Jones has the longest-tenured coach in the NFC East, but he wasn’t exactly counting his blessings when asked about that this week at the NFL owners meetings.
“Well, I’m looking up, on my back, looking up, and all I see is ass,” the Cowboys owner said to laughter. “I want a different perspective. I want a different view.”
The Cowboys finished last in the NFC East with a 4-12 mark after winning the division in 2014. The Redskins won it this year.
As a follow-up, Jones was asked if he sees opportunity in the division.
“I do see opportunity, absolutely,” he said. “But I want a different view. That’ll ring throughout, intertwine every meeting, every personal visit I have with everybody involved with the Cowboys. I want to see a different look.”
