Practice report: Tony Romo sits out

With a Monday night game on the schedule this week, Thursday’s practice was like a Wednesday practice for the Cowboys. Thus, Tony Romo sat out after taking part in the morning walk-through.

“Again it’s a week-by-week thing for us, and so we decided this week that’s the way we wanted to go,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said.

Defensive end Jack Crawford (calf), right tackle Doug Free (foot) and safety Jakar Hamilton (personal) also missed Thursday’s practice.

Linebacker Bruce Carter (thigh) and defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee/foot) were limited. Receiver Dez Bryant (shoulder) and tackle Jermey Parnell (chest) were full participants.
