The Cowboys went 9-of-14 on third down Sunday, even better than their NFL-leading 56.3 percent conversion rate entering the game.
“I think a lot of it is the plan, and I think a lot of it is the execution,” quarterback Tony Romo said. “I don’t know what the numbers were today, but on third-and-eight or third-and-10, we were converting some of those. Third-and-three feels the same way as third-and-eight or -nine for us right now. That is a testament to everybody – the coaches coming up with a good plan and the players going out and executing that.”
The Cowboys have converted 54 of 94 third downs this season, raising their season conversion rate to 57.4.
