Practice report: DeMarco Murray misses practice with an illness

Running back DeMarco Murray is not practicing because of an illness. He is one of several players out of Wednesday’s practice.

Quarterback Tony Romo (back/ribs/ankle) also is sitting out as expected.

Offensive tackle Doug Free (fractured foot) will not play this week. The Cowboys are adding offensive tackle Tony Hills as a backup, releasing defensive lineman Lavar Edwards to make room.

Linebacker Bruce Carter (thigh), linebacker Rolando McClain (groin/personal matter) and defensive end Anthony Spencer (knee) also are missing practice.
