Tony Romo sat out his fourth consecutive Wednesday practice.
It’s a routine that has been working for Romo and his surgically-repaired back.
“Our job is to try to get them to be their best on Sundays,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We believe in practice and guys fighting through it and getting out there, but at the same time we have to be mindful of the workload they’re getting in during the week to make sure it’s appropriate for them to playon Sunday based on the injury they have. We’ll do that with Tony, we’ll do that with other guys as well.”
The bigger concern for the Cowboys is their linebacking corps. Bruce Carter, Rolando McClain and Cameron Lawrence all missed Wednesday’s practice.
Carter (thigh) and McClain (groin) have been nursing injuries, while Lawrence has a thigh injury.
Also missing practice was reserve offensive lineman Jeremy Parnell, who has a chest injury.
