There are no must wins in Week 6 of a 16-game season but owner Jerry Jones does look at Sunday’s game against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks as a golden opportunity for his rising Dallas Cowboys team.
Despite a 4-1 mark, which includes four straight wins, the Cowboys will head to Seattle as a decided underdog, per Jones.
Seattle rarely loses at home and they are the defending Super Bowl champion. But what Jones calls a great challenge, he also calls a great opportunity for the Cowboys. He believes a win would do wonders for their confidence and could possibly propel them to “super” heights.
Seattle is 17-1 at home since the start of the 2012 season.
“The have such a great record in that stadium,” Jones said on his radio show on KRLD-FM. “I know what they are capable of doing. They are such a challenge. But I wouldn’t trade this opportunity for anything. We got a lot at stake. Expectations are not high. But if you won a game like this you could change a lot of things.
“Those are the kind of opportunities you wish for. That’s what we got in Seattle. We will see.”
