Cowboys injury report: Henry Melton questionable for Sunday’s game

Henry Melton is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans, as a hamstring injury limited him in practice Friday for the third time this week.

Melton is expected to play, but could be in a limited role once again. He played 24 of 61 snaps last week against the Saints and could see similar action again this week.

The Cowboys have depth behind Melton beginning with Tyrone Crawford, who started in Melton’s place last week and played well. Terrell McClain and Davon Coleman are also expected to return after being inactive last week.

Asked if Crawford would start again, coach Jason Garrett said: “Still working that out as we get closer to the game as to who’s going to be available to us and what the rotation is.”

As far as others on the injury report, linebacker Bruce Carter (thigh) is listed as out, as expected. Dez Bryant (shoulder), Tony Romo (back), Rolando McClain (groin) and Anthony Spencer (knee) are all probable.

Spencer had a scheduled day off Friday, as the team continues to ease him back in.
