Wide receiver Dez Bryant (hamstring) and left tackle Tyron Smith (biceps) are expected to miss the San Francisco game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said.

Bryant has been sidelined for more than a week, and might not start doing more until later this week.

“He won’t play against San Francisco, but from what they’re telling me it could be working back in at that time,” Jones said. “That would be my guess.”

Smith, meanwhile, has been working on the side during practices the past few days. He sat out the preseason opener against San Diego, and it’s unknown when he’ll be cleared to return.

“He’s about the toughest guy I’ve ever been around,” coach Jason Garrett said. “If he can practice, he’ll practice. Hopefully we’ll get him back soon.”
