Dallas Cowboys’ Brett Maher’s misses NFL playoff record four extra points against Tampa Bay

Cowboys kicker Brett Maher is not having a playoff game to remember.

He’s missed his first four extra points in the Cowboys’ opening-round game at Tampa Bay before finally making his fifth attempt in the fourth quarter.

The missed kicks didn’t come back to haunt the Cowboys as they won easily 31-14.

It’s the first time in NFL history that a kicker has missed four extra points in a game. He also missed his last extra point in the regular season, a loss at Washington.

Maher was 29-of-32 on field goals and 50-of-53 on PATs this season.

Maher was signed by the Cowboys in 2022, this is his third stint with the team. Maher was 9-for-11 on field goals of more than 50 yards this season.

Maher’s four missed PAT’s in the game surpasses his total amount of missed PAT’s for the entire regular season.
