Want to party? Dallas Cowboys host a three-day NFL Draft celebration for fans in Frisco
The Dallas Cowboys are making a weekend out of this year’s NFL Draft with live entertainment, a 5K run and autograph signings.
While the 2022 NFL Draft is taking place in Las Vegas, the place to be in Dallas-Fort Worth is The Star in Frisco, where fans can celebrate the newest Cowboys players. The Star is where the Cowboys world headquarters and practice facility are located.
Festivities run Thursday night until Saturday.
Thursday night is the first round of the NFL Draft and fans are encouraged to gather in the Tostitos Championship Plaza at 6 p.m. for player autographs, live entertainment and performances from the Cowboys cheerleading and rhythm squads.
The event is free and open to the public.
Friday night is a draft night out for families at several restaurants at The Star, each with their own special menu tied to the event that starts at 6 p.m. Participating restaurants are:
- Lombardi Cucina Italiana: A three-course meal with choice of pasta, entree and dessert for $85.
- Tupelo Honey: A three-course meal that includes choice of an appetizer, entree and dessert for $35.
- The Common Table: A three-course dinner for two including an appetizer to share, two entrees and a dessert for $40.
- Sushi Marquee: A three-course dinner with choice of appetizer, main course and dessert for $80.
- Dee Lincoln Prime: A “#1 draft pick” sushi roll that has king and snow crab, caviar, wasabi truffle aioli and gold flakes, among other things for $35.
- Heirloom Haul: A limited time “game day” grilled cheese sandwich.
- Wahlburgers: Crispy fried pickles, a barbecue bacon burger and mango mai tai are featured items.
- City Works: Patrons can order kung pao cauliflower, smokehouse burger with pulled pork and a mega mule mixed drink.
- Cane Rosso: A star-shaped pizza/calzone hybrid filled with ricotta, mozzarella, sauce and pepperoni for $19.
- Concrete Cowboy: Patrons can receive $2 off appetizers.
Saturday is a big day at The Star as the NFL Draft closes out.
Cowboys fans can start their Saturday early with a Draft Day 5K around The Star. There’s also a kids fun run and a virtual option for those who can’t make it. Registration for the runs is now open, with entry fees varying on each race.
Later in the day, the party is still rocking at The Star with a live DJ, food and drink tastings, Cowboys themed photo booth and shopping specials. The Star Draft Fest is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
