Cowboys lead Redskins at half, but Eagles also lead Giants with playoff berth on the line
The Dallas Cowboys are holding on to thin playoff hopes at halftime.
Dallas leads the Washington Redskins 20-10 after an at times ugly first half at AT&T Stadium.
The Philadelphia Eagles lead the New York Giants 10-3 at halftime at MetLife Stadium.
The Cowboys have to win and hope the Eagles lose to win the NFC East and earn a playoff berth.
If the Cowboys win the NFC East, they’ll host either the San Francisco 49ers or Seattle Seahawks in a wildcard game either Saturday or Sunday at AT&T Stadium.
Dallas owns the tiebreaker with the Eagles by virtue of a better record in the NFC East, 5-1 to the Eagles’ 4-2.
Both teams took early 3-0 leads on field goals. Ezekiel Elliott scored two touchdowns in the first half. He caught a 13-yard scoring pass from Dak Prescott to give Dallas a 13-3 lead. He also rushed for a 33-yard touchdown just before halftime to give the Cowboys a 20-3 lead.
Carson Wentz connected with tight end Joshua Perkins for a 24-yard scoring pass to give the Eagles a 10-3 lead at the half.
