Jerry Jones may be giving Terrance Williams the benefit of the doubt right now, but Cowboys fans are most certainly not.
On Thursday, Frisco police released dash cam and body cam video of their investigation and arrest of Williams, a Dallas Cowboys receiver, on a charge of public intoxication. Saturday morning police found his 2017 Lamborghini crashed into a light pole.
Williams initially claimed he had been home all night and blamed the crash on former Baylor teammate Kendall Wright, whom he called an "idiot." But he and his attorney later changed their story to one that more closely aligned with what transpired in the video.
Here's how fans have reacted to the situation and outcome thus far on Twitter.
Officers on the scene said Williams had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and the odor of alcohol, prompting his arrest absent a sobriety test or breathalyzer.
Williams was going to be sidelined until training camp with a fractured foot. And he already is missing the offseason program, OTAs and minicamp.
Williams' arrest could earn him a suspension from the NFL for potentially violating the league's personal conduct policy.
