Johnny Manziel is eyeing a return to the NFL
Fort Worth better get ready for thousands of fantasy football fans this summer.
The National Fantasy Football Convention announced that it will host this year’s event at the Will Rogers Memorial Center from July 13-15. Between 5,000 and 15,000 fans are expected to attend.
“We’re excited about coming to Fort Worth, and it’s even a better facility because we can keep the entire convention in one area," said Andy Alberth, co-founder of the convention and who is also Tony Romo’s cousin.
"This is going to bring a better overall experience for fans and sponsors. There’s more accessible parking, it’s closer to the airport for a lot of out-of-state fans, and it’s still in Cowboys country."
The convention will have 75 current and former Cowboys players, including running back Ezekiel Elliott and former players such as Michael Irvin, Jason Witten and Dez Bryant.
Other NFL stars expected to attend are Kansas City quarterback and former Texas Tech star Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt, Buffalo running back LeSean McCoy and LA Chargers running back Melvin Gordon.
More than 200 players and personalities are scheduled to attend. Alberth encouraged fans to check the convention’s website often for updates on player appearances, schedules and prices.
