NFL GameDay: NFC East on the line when Eagles-Redskins tangle

A good old fashioned NFC East tussle always brings out the best, and worst, when the Redskins and Eagles get together.

Line: Eagles by 3

Last in the NFC East seven times the past nine seasons, the Redskins can claim the division and a playoff berth with a win over the Eagles, a team they beat 23-20 in Week 4 on the road. Washington picked an ideal time for its first winning streak of the season as the rest of the division staggered through disheartening home losses that dented their postseason hopes. A win at Chicago is the Redskins’ only victory away from home. Eagles are hard to figure. They beat the New York Jets and New England Patriots on the road, but lose to the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Bucs at home. A playoff berth is still within reach if they topple Washington and the Giants, and have the Giants lose Sunday night at Minnesota.
