The Dallas Wings signed guard Tiffany Bias to a seven-day contract on Monday.
“Tiffany brings energy, speed and tenacity to our roster,” General Manager Greg Bibb said in a statement. “She has playoff experience and has won a WNBA championship. We are excited to have her join our team and help us improve.”
Bias was selected by the Phoenix Mercury with the 17th overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft. She played in 32 regular season games and appeared in six WNBA playoff games, winning a title in 2014.
In her junior and senior seasons at Oklahoma State, Bias received honorable mention All-American honors from the Associated Press. In her career, she scored 1,623 points and had 295 steals. Bias was a three-time all Big 12 selection.
The Wichita, Kansas native will join the team this week as the Wings prepare for the remaining two games before going on the Olympic break. Dallas will host Connecticut, 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday before finishing in Atlanta, 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
In order to make room for Bias, the Wings waived guard Brianna Kiesel, who scored 12 points and had 18 assists in 14 games played this season.
