About the Mercury: DeWanna Bonner led four players in double figures with a season-high-tying 38 points on 12 of 23 shooting in 45 minutes off the bench, but Phoenix blew a 17-point lead as Dallas won 117-111 in triple overtime on Saturday. Penny Taylor, who had 21 points, hit a 3-pointer to put the Mercury up 75-58 with 1:02 left in the third quarter. Dallas’ Glory Johnson and Phoenix’s Brittney Griner were in a game against each other for the first time since their divorce last June. The two were suspended seven games after their arrests on domestic violence charges in April 2015 in their Phoenix-area home. Griner finished with 11 points and nine rebounds before fouling out in the third overtime.

About the Wings: Skylar Diggins scored 19 of her season-high 27 points after halftime, including 12 in the fourth quarter during Saturday’s win, which snapped a six-game losing streak . Odyssey Sims, Karima Christmas and Plenette Pierson each scored 18 points, Pierson’s total being a season high. Johnson chipped in a season-high 15 points and had 10 rebounds in her first double-double of the season. Courtney Paris had 11 boards, her third straight game with 10 or more. Dallas outscored Phoenix 28-12 in the fourth to force the first overtime, and Sims scored 10 of her 18 in the third overtime to seal the win.
