Dallas Mavericks use strong third quarter to top Denver Nuggets

How the Mavs won: Trailing by four at the half, the Dallas Mavericks scored the first 16 points of the third quarter Saturday night at American Airlines Center and cruised to a 92-81 victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Mavs outscored Denver in the third quarter, 25-5 and snapped their three-game losing streak.

Key players: Deron Williams collected a game-high 22 points, Zaza Pachulia finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Dirk Nowitzki added 13 points and seven rebounds.

Key stat: In the third quarter, the Nuggets scored five points, committed nine turnovers and were just 2-of-19 from the field.
