Why the Mavericks won: The Mavericks built a 19-point lead in the second quarter, then hung on for a 92-86 victory to hand the pesky Philadelphia 76ers their 21st straight defeat dating to last season Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Key players: Chandler Parsons scored all of his season-high 20 points in the first half, and did not play but three minutes in the second half. Dirk Nowitzki added 15 of his 21 points in the second half.

Key stat: The Mavs forced the Sixers into 27 turnovers, converting them into 28 much-needed points.
