About the Mavs: After demolishing the Lakers on Friday, the Mavs take a six-game winning streak into Saturday’s game against the Rockets. It will be Chandler Parsons’ first game in Houston since he left the Rockets after three years and signed a free agent contract with the Mavs over the summer. The Mavs showed off their high-octane offense Friday night when they scored 110 points against the Lakers – through three quarters. Dallas, which leads the NBA in scoring at 108.9 points per game, ended up scoring 140.
About the Rockets: Houston started the season with a 9-1 record, but has lost its last two at Memphis (119-93) and at home to the Los Angeles Lakers (98-92). Center Dwight Howard did not play against the Lakers due to a strained right knee and likely will not play Saturday. The Rockets are just 9-26 in their last 35 regular season matchups with the Mavs. Fourteen of the last 17 regular season games in this series have been decided by eight points or fewer, with three of those games going into overtime.
