CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Dallas Mavericks put on yet another dominant offensive performance Monday night as they rolled over the Charlotte Hornets 107-80 at Time Warner Cable Arena.
This was the opener of a two-game road trip for the Mavs (8-3) and the Mavs started it in grand style. The trip ends with Wednesday’s game in Washington before the Mavs return home to host Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
Chandler Parsons led the Mavs with 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Monta Ellis scored 18, Tyson Chandler had 14 points and nine rebounds, Dirk Nowitzki finished with 13 points and Jameer Nelson had 11 points and eight assists.
With a jumper midway through the third period, Nowitzki joined Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and Bryant as the only players in NBA history to score at least 27,000 points with one franchise.

In utilizing their explosive offense again, the Mavs have now won five games by 14 or more points this season.
Dallas, which won the rebounding battle 50-35, jumped out to a 32-24 lead after the first period and padded that to 67-43 at intermission. The Mavs’ lead grew to as much as 82-52 following a pair of free throws by Parsons with 4:17 to go in the third quarter.
