Dennis Smith Jr. has been named to the NBA All-Rookie Second-Team.

The Mavericks point guard averaged 15 points and 5 assists per-game in his first NBA season. Those numbers ranked tied for fourth and third amongst all rookies, respectively.

The results were voted on by a 100-member global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz, Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers and Lauri Markkanen of the Chicago Bulls made up the first team.

Mitchell and Simmons were unanimous first-team selections.

Dennis Smith Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks, Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers, John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks, Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Sacramento Kings and Josh Jackson of the Phoenix Suns made up the second team.
