Midfielder Ignacio Piatti had a goal and an assist to help the Montreal Impact beat FC Dallas 2-1 on Saturday night.
FC Dallas tried desperately for an equalizer in the closing minutes but missed a handful of point-blank chances, and the team saw its five-game unbeaten run snapped.
Piatti scored from the penalty spot in the 25th minute, and Jack McInerney added a second shortly after halftime.
Montreal (2-3-2) won consecutive games for the first time since August 2013.

Defender Matt Hedges scored for Dallas (6-3-3) late in the second half, but it wasn’t enough.
