The match featured postgame fireworks, but there were no fireworks during the game as the packed Houston defense weathered several shots on goal from the Vaqueros.
“I think we could have taken more advantage if we didn’t get frustrated throughout the game, but overall it was a good game,” Vaqueros coach Mark Snell said.

Fort Worth’s first opportunity came five minutes into the match a shot rattled off the left post.
The Vaqueros dominated play and despite several shots on goal, they couldn’t find the back of the net.
The Vaqueros outshot Houston 15-3.
“We played good. They were a strong team but overall we did our best, but couldn’t get the ball into the net. They came for a tie, not a win,” the Vaqueros Arturo Sanchez said.
