The Texas Rangers’ game Opening Day against the Cleveland Indians will begin at 6:05 p.m. April 3 at Globe Life Park, the club announced Thursday.

The game will air on ESPN and Fox Sports Southwest.

The game will be the Rangers’ first home season opener at night since 1995, a game rescheduled because of the labor stoppage. The last scheduled season lid-lifter at home was in 1993.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said there are several free agents, including some 2016 Rangers players, who would fit their outfield needs (Video by Stefan Stevenson/Star-Telegram).
