Texas Golf Hall of Famer Lindy Miller has been named Golf Professional of the Year by the Northern Texas PGA Section.
Miller, a former director of golf at Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth who now works as a teaching professional at Shady Oaks Country Club, was inducted into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame in October.
He’s also the golf coach at Fort Worth Country Day High School.
Miller played on the PGA Tour from 1979-84, including six top-10 finishes. He placed 16th at the 1978 Masters while competing as an amateur.

Miller, a four-time All-American at Oklahoma State, was a standout high school golfer at Fort Worth Arlington Heights. As a college golfer, he won the 1978 Fred Haskins Award, given to the nation’s top player.
Miller was instrumental in the creation of The First Tee of Fort Worth.
