FIFA announces when tickets will go on sale for the 2026 World Cup

The first game of the 2026 World Cup will be held in Mexico City on June 11, 2026, and FIFA announced how fans can get tickets to the world’s biggest soccer tournament.

FIFA will hold several distinct phases where fans can put in an application to be selected for ticket draws, the first of which will begin on Wednesday, September 10, and encourages fans to sign up at FIFA’s website and create a FIFA ID.

Full details on each phase will be revealed in the coming months.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed excitement at the upcoming tournament and its return to North America.

“Following the incredible success of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, excitement is reaching new heights for the FIFA World Cup 26,” said Infantino. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico, and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever. We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.”

The World Cup is expected to have 6.5 million fans in attendance across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
