Mansfield Summit’s QB, defense sparkle in win over Chisholm Trail

Mansfield Summit quarterback Bryson McKinney threw three touchdown passes to secure the Jaguars’ 36-0 win against Saginaw Chisholm Trail on Friday night at Ranger Stadium in Saginaw in Summit’s first win of the season.

Key players: RB Richard Chark scored the first TD of the game with a 27-yard run in the second quarter and McKinney also ran an impressive 56 yards to the end zone for another Summit touchdown. Oswald Moobe also caught a 34-yard pass for a Summit TD. For Chisholm Trail, QB Collin Reyes had 88 passing yards.

Key stats: In the third quarter Chisholm Trail attempted a 40-yard field goal but the kick was blocked by Summit’s defense. With only four punts, Chisholm Trail more often opted to run the ball on fourth down.
