Keller Timber Creek hits on early strike to set tone against Azle

Dylan McCrary threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Eric Ezukanma on the first play from scrimmage to set the tone early for the Keller Timber Creek Falcons as they dominated Azle in a 30-0 shutout Friday at Keller ISD Stadium. Timber Creek’s defense did not allow Azle to pick up a first down until 4:26 remained in the second quarter. The Hornets were limited to 65 total yards in the game.

Key players: Ezukanma finished with 137 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 10 receptions. Blake Irving ran for 120 yards on 19 carries with a touchdown.

Key stat: Timber Creek gained 206 yards of total offense in the first half, while holding Azle to 16 total yards.
