South Hills score on 1st five possesions, clinches 7-5A title

Kyran Jackson and Trey Jones combined for 317 yards and seven rushing touchdowns to push South Hills past Southwest, 55-0, at Clark Stadium for the District 7-5A championship.

South Hills scored on five straight possessions to open the game, stretching out a 35-0 halftime lead. Southwest remains in contention for the final District 7-5A playoff berth.

Arlington Heights presently sits a game back of South Hills.

Key players: Jackson had 178 yards and four touchdowns rushing. Jones had 139 yards rushing and three scores to go with 136 yards passing. Tylan Wallace had eight receptions for 63 yards. Octavio Martinez’s led Southwest with 116 yards passing.

Key stat: South Hills averaged 9.3 yards per rushing attempt and compiled 500 total yards.
