Saginaw Boswell running back Damon Williams rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown in the first half and the Pioneers defense clamped down for a decisive 26-7 win Friday at Pioneer Stadium in Saginaw. The Pioneers recovered two fumbles, forced a safety, and picked off Chisholm Trail quarterback Jake Norwood. Boswell’s Jacob Mueller recovered a Chisholm Trail fumble on a punt at the Rangers’ 18, and Williams scored on the ensuing play.
Key players: Williams finished with 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Norwood rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Key stat: Boswell linebacker Hunter Harp recovered a fumble that led to a Pioneers field goal. Defensive back Ja'Mayo Simms had an interception for the second straight week for Boswell.
