Back’s 3 TDs, solid defense help Arlington Heights shut out Trimble Tech

Running back Da’jour Traylor scored three touchdowns in the first half to help Fort Worth Arlington Heights to a 58-0 victory over Fort Worth Trimble Tech in a Distict 7-5A game Friday night at Clark Stadium. Quarterback Jaiden Zackery threw for four touchdowns and the Yellow Jackets’ defense shut down the Bulldogs’ running game, allowing only 17 rushing yards.

Key players: Traylor gained 152 yards on 12 carries and Zackery spread the ball among seven recievers for for 146 yards. Junior running back Nick Goldsby rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown. The Yellow Jackets allowed only allowed only 89 yards total. Linebacker Taylor Hudspeth intercepted a pass and was in on a tackle for a safety, while Kelvin Montel Davis recovered a fumble and Darius Williams also picked off a pass. The Bulldogs were led by quarterback Jaylon McLean, who hit four receivers for 72 yards.

Key stat: Arlington Heights allowed only five first downs.
