Saginaw Boswell’s running attack too much for Saginaw

Saginaw Boswell running back Damon Williams rushed for 240 yards and four touchdowns Friday night as the Pioneers won the annual Battle for the Wagon Wheel, defeating Saginaw 46-3 at Pioneer Stadium. In the first half, Boswell kicker Jackson Counts drilled two field goals (21 and 35 yards) and linebacker Caleb Genberg recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown. The Pioneers intercepted four passes and recovered a fumble, while holding the Rough Riders to fewer than 200 yards of total offense.

Key players: Williams scored from the 11, 1, 7 and 5. Boswell receiver/defensive back Breshun Berry had 90 yards receiving and a touchdown, and two interceptions.

Key stat: Boswell had a 479-190 edge in total yards.
