Keller Timber Creek pulls away late to beat Haltom

Blake Irving ran for 166 yards with two touchdowns and Keller Timber Creek edged Haltom 29-21. Irving scored on a 1-yard run midway through the second quarter and Eric Ezukaunma ran back a kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown with three minutes before halftime. The Falcons took a 22-21 lead into the break. After a scoreless third quarter, Irving scored his second touchdown on a 18-yard run with 3:46 left to play, putting the game out of reach.

Key players: Irving’s 166 yards came on 23 rushes. Ezukaunma finished with 63 yards receiving and added 50 yards rushing. J.Q. Reed led Haltom with 75 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Key stat: Timber Creek averaged 5.5 yards per rushing attempt. The Falcons did not commit any penalties.
