Keller Central bolts to early lead, rushes past Keller

Zion Purvis scored three rushing touchdowns and teammate D’antaven Blackshear added 95 yards on the ground as Keller Central jumped to an early 21-0 lead, then coasted to a 35-7 defeat of Keller in a District 3-6A game at Keller ISD Athletic Complex.

Key players: Reese Robertson threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Noah Moreno and Purvis ran in for a 4-yard score in the first quarter. Purvis broke free for a 43-yard touchdown to give the Chargers the 21-0 lead one minute into the second quarter. Purvis finished 87 yards rushing on nine carries. Blackshear led all rushers with his 95 yards on 13 carries.

Key stat: Central rushed for 281 yards, while the Charger defense limited Keller to 44 rushing yards.
