Fort Worth Dunbar gets first victory with win over Eastern Hills

Fort Worth Dunbar junior running back Paris Jackson ran for four touchdowns to lead the Wildcats past Fort Worth Eastern Hills 40-25 in a District 8-5A game Saturday at Clark Stadium. The victory was the first for the Wildcats this season.

Key players: Jackson carried 29 times for 75 yards. Wildcats quarterback Leon’te Cooper passed for 126 yards, while SirQuinces Stewart ran for 60 yards and a touchdown on 11 attempts. Eastern Hills receiver Courtland Wallace caught three passes for 150 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown on the first play of the game. The Highlanders’ Kyndal Owens returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown.

Key stat: Dunbar’s 40 points nearly equaled the Wildcats’ points total for the season. Dunbar came into the game having scored 43 points total in the past four games.
