Fort Worth Southwest dominates FW YMLA

Fort Worth Southwest defeated Fort Worth YMLA 50-20 in a District 7-5A game Friday night at Scarborough-Handley Field.

Key players: Southwest’s Rod Ford scored two touchdowns, one on an 82-yard kickoff return, and WR Greg Mims accounted for four touchdowns, two on rushes and two on pass plays. He rushed for 91 yards. RB Jason Bailey ran 118 rushing yards and scored the last touchdown of the game. For YMLA, J’eon Burnett ran for two touchdowns, and Chadrick Jackson ran for another. Lineman Sir Marc Sanders scored on a 2-point conversion.

Key stats: Southwest never punted and had four onside kicks. YMLA had three onside kicks.
