Saginaw Chisholm Trail holds off Haslet Eaton late

Saginaw Chisholm Trail used big plays to build a big lead, then held off Haslet Eaton in the second half for a 59-47 victory in a District 6-5A game Friday night at Ranger Stadium in Saginaw. The Rangers scored on six consecutive times in the first half, only to see the Eagles score four TDs in a row in the second half.

Key players: Chisholm Trail had three players rush for more than 100 yards: RB Keyshawn Gbanquoi (166 yards, 1 TD) and QBs Jake Norwood (111 yards, 3 TDs) and Brandon Reed (140 yards, 2 TDs). Eagles running back Titus Swen rushed for 148 yards and three TDs.

Key stat: Eaton tried four onside kicks in the second half as it played from behind. The Eagles recovered one.
