Crowley boys fall to Wichita Falls Rider

Why Rider won: With T.J. Vasher off the floor with a severe cramp in his calf, the Raiders were forced to protect a slim lead late in the fourth quarter against Crowley, winning 62-57.

Key players: The Raiders turned the ball over four times while Vasher was out and only scored two points — a pair of Ty Caswell free throws — but still managed to send Rider to its first 5A Region I tournament.

Key stat: Vasher finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Records: Rider 23-10; Crowley 23-10
