UPDATE: South Hills running back voted dfwVarsity player of the week

UPDATE: With almost 3,200 votes cast among five nominees, Fort Worth South Hills running back Kyran Jackson is the dfwVarsity Player of the Week for Oct. 16-18. Jackson received 1,347 votes.

There were many great performances in the eighth week of the high school football season. Here’s your chance to tell us who has earned dfwVarsity Player of the Week honors. Voting ends at 4 p.m. Wednesday

Southlake Carroll DB Kevin Cramer recorded 8 solo tackles, 8 assists, one interception and two pass break-ups against Euless Trinity.

Burleson LB Caleb Dechert recorded 7 tackles, one for loss and an interception against Burleson Centennial.

Birdville RB Isaiah Duarte rushed for 144 yards and 4 TDs and caught a 17-yard touchdowns pass against Polytechnic.

Fort Worth South Hills RB Kyran Jackson rushed for 229 yards on just 13 carries, and scored 6 touchdowns against FW Western Hills.

Burleson DB Samuel Rotholz recorded 10 tackles, two pass break-ups and two interceptions against Burleson Centennial.
