Brock moved one step away from a UIL record sixth straight girls basketball championship and ninth overall after winning its Class 2A state semifinal 78-38 over Franklin.
Lexi Ducat led Brock with 18 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists in 18 minutes.
Rachel Williams added 13 points and six rebounds, and Rachel Harrell collected 11 points and nine rebounds.
Brock (35-2) led Franklin (30-6) 67-27 after three quarters, with a 43-9 rebounding edge. The Eagles finished with a 68-19 rebounding advantage.
Brock meets Wall in the 1:30 p.m. today championship game.
• Wall 59, Hallettsville 44: Six-foot-tall sisters Maddi and Bobbi Chitsey combined for 37 points and 11 rebounds to lead Wall (34-4) past Hallettsville (34-4).
Junior Bobbi Chitsey led all scorers with 20 points and sophomore sister Maddi added 17 points.
Alli Dierschke had nine rebounds and Stella Doyle scored 10 points with eight rebounds for Wall. The Hawks defense limited high-scoring Hallettsville to 30 percent shooting from the field. Hallettsville was averaging 69 points per game in playoffs.
• Duncanville 80, San Antonio Wagner 57: Sophomore center Cierra Johnson had 21 points and 16 rebounds and Duncanville’s unbeaten march back to the state title game rolled with a win over San Antonio Wagner (25-11).
Duncanville (35-0), the two-time defending state champion, ran its unbeaten streak to 105 games. The Pantherettes haven’t lost since Dec. 3, 2011.
Ashley Ross scored 15 for Wagner (25-11).
•Manvel 69, Plano West 38:
Brianna Turner scored 22 points and had 15 rebounds as Manvel (37-2) overwhelmed Plano West (27-6).
Turner, a Notre Dame-bound senior forward, had a double-double by early in the second quarter.
Rangie Bessard had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Jordan Hosey scored 12 to go with 10 rebounds for Manvel, which advanced to the state final in its first state tournament. Manvel led 31-11 by halftime and outscored Plano West 42-18 inside.
Class A, Division II
• Calvert 53, Roscoe Highland 45: Jaylonn Walker scored 30 points, hitting six 3-pointers, to send Calvert (25-1) over Roscoe Highland (28-4).
•Nazareth 57, Lipan 41:
Rebekah Van Dijk had 21 points and 16 rebounds and Nazareth (35-2) beat Lipan (36-2) as the Swiftettes chase their 19th state championship.
