Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb surprises Fort Worth area school with $10,000
Students at Keller Central High School received quite the surprise Wednesday.
During a pep rally, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb walked into the gymnasium to a chorus of cheer from the crowd.
And he did more than just make an appearance. Lamb, partnering with Body Armor and Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, presented the Chargers with a $10,000 grand prize donation for winning the Friday Night Lights Road Tour.
As part of the tour, “Hydration Heroes” at 20 high schools were recognized for going above and beyond to keep teams hydrated. The grand prize was determined with a vote, and Keller Central won.
Lamb also took time to meet with the Central football team, according to Keller school district.
“What a day!,” Central head football coach Eric Vance, a former NFL player, wrote on X. “Our players will always remember the conversations and lessons from CeeDee Lamb.”
Central principal Kathleen Eckert said it was a great day to be a charger on Facebook.
“I loved seeing my students reaction to this once in a lifetime opportunity!,” Eckert wrote. “My ears are still ringing from hearing their cheers when he walked into the gym! It was amazing when CeeDee said, ‘Remember Who You Are’ and they students yelled back, ‘and Who You Represent.’”
