SOFTBALL- FW Temple Christian's Samantha Jimenez won the softball vote after helping the Eagles clinch a TAPPS Final Four berth. She went 3 for 4 with a double and six RBIs vs. Trinity Christian.
Keller's Brooke Davis came in second place with a 3 for 4 performance vs. Mansfield in the 6A Region I quarterfinals. Davis drove in two runs.
BASEBALL- Crowley's Sam Simmons won the baseball vote after helping the Eagles clinch a spot in the regional quarterfinals for the first time since 2012. Simmons scored the game-winning run in Game 2 vs. Dallas Molina. Crowley won on a walk-off in the 11th inning and went on to win Game 3.
Cleburne pitcher Landon Cody came in second place after he beat Dallas Wilson in Game 2 to complete the sweep in the area round. He pitched six innings and allowed three hits, no runs and five strikeouts. He added two RBIs at the plate.
