Keller 8, Mansfield 4

The Indians scored two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to open up their one-game quarterfinal playoff at Weatherford College.

Keller (30-2-1) advances to the Class 6A Region I semifinals to play Wylie, who beat Denton Guyer in extra innings late Friday.

Amanda Desario singled in a run and Brooke Davis added a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth to give the Indians an 8-2 lead.

Kasey Simpson and Alexa Langeliers drove in runs in the third to break a 1-1 tie.

Mansfield (29-1-1) scored in the first off a Keller error and added two in the seventh with RBIs from Medina Barakat and Paxton Scheurer.

Dylann Kaderka (23-1) allowed eight hits and one earned run for Keller.

Mansfield Lake Ridge 11, Burleson Centennial 5

Ala Rosalez homered, Mackenzie Denson drove in three runs and the Eagles completed the sweep of their 5A Region II quarterfinal series.

Lake Ridge (21-5) will face the winner of Forney and Sulphur Springs in the regional semifinals.

Rosalez led the Eagles off with a home run to center and Denson hit a two-out two-run triple to give Lake Ridge a 3-1 lead.

Rosalez and Denson added RBI triples in the third and Chloe Jones recorded an RBI double to make it 8-2.

Mac Harshbarger had a team-high two RBIs for Centennial (18-12).

Haslet Eaton 16, Denton Ryan 5

Thanks to a nine-spot in the fourth, the Eagles took a 1-0 lead in their 5A Region I quarterfinal series.

Game 2 is noon Saturday at Hebron.

Eaton (28-7) took a 4-0 lead in the third starting with back-to-back RBI singles from Vivica Hernandez and Kenzlee Zaher.

Paige Tamayo, Ashlyn Walker, Chelsea Blankenship and Kennedy Crites had RBI hits to give the Eagles an 11-2 lead in the fourth.

Maci Elliott and Blankenship drove in runs in the fifth for a 16-3 lead.


Southlake Carroll 4, Irving MacArthur 0

Nicco Cole threw a five-hit shutout and struck out 11, and the Dragons won a one-game playoff to advance to the 6A Region I quarterfinals.

The Dragons (27-6) went up 2-0 in the first when Cole Johnson singled in a run and Will Quillen reached on an error. Jake Miller's RBI single in the second gave them a 3-0 lead.

Johnson drove in another run in the fifth.

Joshua 10, Dallas Hillcrest 0

Connery Peters threw a no-hitter and hit a three-run home run to fuel the Owls to a Game 1 win in their 5A Region II area round series.

Game 2 is noon Saturday at Grand Prairie.

Colleyville Heritage 4, Aledo 1

The Panthers scored two runs in the top of the seventh to win Game 2 and tie the series up.

Game 3 is 2 p.m. Saturday at Justin Northwest.

Mason Greer knocked in three runs and Jacob Guerrero added an RBI single.

Jakob Berger allowed two hits, one unearned run and struck out nine for Heritage (28-5).
