Here are the latest dfwVarsity softball and baseball players of the week

SOFTBALL: Flower Mound senior Grace Meador won the softball player of the week. Meador knocked in the game-winning run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth as the Jaguars beat Waco Midway in Game 3 of their area round series.

Mansfield junior Kennedy Hardy came in second place. She hit the walk-off 2-run double in Game 1 vs. Odessa. She added the game-tying 3-run home run in Game 2. The Tigers went on to sweep the series.

BASEBALL: Colleyville Heritage junior and Auburn commit Mason Greer won the baseball player of the week. Greer hit a 2-run home run in Game 1 of the Panthers' bi-district series vs. FW Southwest. Greer hit for the cycle and drove in seven runs during Game 2. The Panthers swept the Raiders.

Cleburne junior lefty and Texas Tech commit Willie Rangel came in second place. In a one-game playoff game vs. Mansfield Lake Ridge, Rangel pitched eight innings, allowed one hit and recorded 15 strikeouts. The Yellowjackets won 1-0 in nine innings.
