Former Euless Trinity star headed to this Big Ten school

Former Euless Trinity defensive lineman Chris Daniels committed to Minnesota.

Daniels committed to Texas over Oklahoma in 2016 during National Signing Day. He held 31 scholarship offers from Baylor, Alabama, Michigan, Miami, Nebraska and more..

But at Texas, Daniels redshirted his freshman year and never played a single down.

According to SB Nation, enrolled at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Mississippi. He’ll graduate in December and enroll at Minnesota in the spring, with two years of eligibility left.

Daniels was the District 7-6A Defensive MVP during his senior season of 2015-16. The 4-star prospect also made second team all-state that year and was a two-time all-district selection.
