Here are the latest dfwVarsity softball and baseball players of the week

SOFTBALL- Godley freshman Kenzie Stotts won the softball vote after leading the Lady Wildcats to a bi-district win vs. 7-4A champion Mineral Wells. She went 4 for 5 with two doubles, two triples, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Alvarado junior pitcher Kaitlynn Woodlee came in second place with her Game 1 performance vs. Benbrook. She went five innings, allowed four hits, no runs and struck out 12. In the series, she went 5 for 8 with five RBIs.

BASEBALL- Crowley senior pitcher Matthew McCarty won the baseball vote after he led the Eagles into the playoffs. McCarty threw a complete game in a 1-0 shutout vs. Granbury on Saturday to secure the final playoff spot in District 9-5A. He allowed eight hits and struck out two batters.

Mansfield junior Kade Fletcher came in second place. He went 6 for 8 with two home runs and seven RBIs in games vs. North Crowley and Mansfield Lake Ridge.
