The Texas-Arlington women’s basketball team opened up with a 16-0 run and never let its foot off the gas, coasting by Incarnate World 97-49 on Sunday at McDermott Center.
Sunday’s performance was UTA’s (4-2) largest margin of victory since 2006.
The Lady Mavs led by as much as 26 points in the opening 20 minutes.
The gap was closed to 12 points midway through the third quarter as Incarnate World (0-8) came out firing.

UTA closed out Sunday’s contest by holding UIW to four points in the final stanza.
Terryn Milton led all scorers with 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting. Claire Chastain added 11 points. UTA shot 50 percent from the field and forced 24 turnovers.
Up next, UTA heads to Oklahoma to take on Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. Thursday.
