Senior guard Crystal Allen had 21 points and eight rebounds as UT Arlington’s women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 69-68 overtime win at UTSA on Wednesday.
Allen, a Trimble Tech graduate, had scored a career-high 22 points Monday against Oral Roberts.
She was joined in double figures by senior center Rebekah VanDijk with 14 points and nine rebounds, junior point guard Laurynn McGowen with 10 points and two assists, and senior Cierra Johnson who had 11 points in six minutes of the first quarter before leaving with an injury.
UTSA’s Roadrunners drop to 1-2.
UTA led 17-16 after the first quarter and 47-43 heading into the fourth quarter of a game that was tied five times and had nine lead changes.
UTA will host SMU at 2 p.m. Sunday.
